Bios
Brian is a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) with 19 years of knowledge and experience in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector. With his experience in roles as subcontractor, contractor, designer, agency CM, owner, and owners-rep, Brian provides a unique and impactful lens to any project. Brian is well-versed in all phases of projects from pre-design to project warranty periods. His past experience included Responsible-in-Charge project & program management, technical engineering, budget & schedule oversight, risk management, contract negotiations, team coaching & staff planning, and creating/utilizing project control systems such as trackers, dashboards, and 3rd party software such as Procore, CIPO, and Bluebeam. Communication, collaboration, and building impactful teams are key focal points for Brian to ensure positive project outcomes.
Emma Knox is a part owner and the Chief People Officer at Compass Canyon Builders, where she oversees hiring, onboarding, employee development, company culture, accounting, and internal operations. She is passionate about building strong teams, creating organized systems, and supporting the company’s continued growth both in the field and behind the scenes. With a background in operations and business management, Emma focuses on improving processes and helping create a positive, growth-oriented work environment. Outside of work, she is a dedicated mom of two boys and enjoys balancing family life with helping grow a company she is proud to be a part of.
As the Projects Executive, Danny Marks ensures the prompt, accurate, and complete delivery of all of Compass Canyon’s project scopes. Managing scheduling, costs, and communication, Danny makes a point to treat every project as if it were his own home. He believes that doing business honorably and taking pride in every project he works on is what makes Compass Canyon Builders a great company. Coming from water and wastewater construction, Danny is excited to learn something new and expand his knowledge of construction the construction industry.
